This policy covers Deeds & Detours for iPhone and iPad and its website, deedsanddetours.brighteng.org. The developer is Sihan Teng, reachable at [email protected].

Local play and saved games

You do not need an account. Local player names, preferences, and saved matches are stored on your device. The developer does not receive your local saves. Your operating system may include app data in a device backup according to your own backup settings.

Optional multiplayer

When you host or join a network game, the game shares player display names, session identifiers, game actions, and match state with the host and connected players so the match can run. Network addresses, including IP addresses, are visible to the devices and network services involved in making the connection. These details are associated with the multiplayer session.

Online room discovery uses the public libp2p/IPFS distributed lookup network. It publishes a temporary peer identifier and reachable network addresses under a room code. A new peer identity is generated when the network service starts. Lookup records can remain on other nodes after you leave; the protocol's default record lifetime is 48 hours. The developer cannot erase copies held by independent network operators. On iOS, bootstrap hostname lookups use Cloudflare DNS.

These features use identifiers and gameplay content for app functionality, including finding and connecting players. They are not used by the developer for advertising, profiling, or tracking across other apps or websites. The game has no advertising or analytics SDK and no developer-operated account or gameplay server.

Only share a room code with people you want to play with. Other players may retain match information or screenshots. You can avoid multiplayer data sharing by using local play.

Support and purchases

If you email support, the developer receives your email address and the information you choose to send, and uses it to respond and resolve the request. Please send only what is needed. Support correspondence is kept while needed to handle your request and related follow-up; you can ask for its deletion.

Apple handles payment and App Store transactions. The app does not receive your payment card details and offers no in-app purchases or subscriptions.

This website

Cloudflare hosts this website and processes connection information to deliver and secure it. The home page loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser makes requests to Google. This website has no advertising or analytics scripts. These providers handle their own network records under their policies: Cloudflare privacy policy and Google privacy policy.

Your choices

You can edit player names before a match, overwrite an existing save slot, leave a network session, or use local play only. Deleting the app removes its local app data from that installation; device backups are managed separately through your operating system. For support correspondence or another privacy request, email [email protected].

Changes

If the game's data practices change, this page and the App Store privacy details will be updated. The effective date above identifies the current policy.
